At Tabula Studio, we developed this Complete Home Renovation in Bilbao with the aim of optimising 100 m², improving spatial efficiency, natural light and the functional connection between areas. The intervention was based on a key principle: to respect the memory of the building, owned by the family, and to restore part of the home’s original expression.
A constructive “tetris” designed to recover skirting boards and wall panelling by extracting pieces, repositioning them, adapting them and reinterpreting them, so that the final result feels organic and inherent to the place, despite the complete redistribution of the layout.
Where the original ceiling mouldings were damaged or incomplete, more geometric and stepped solutions were chosen, integrating technical lighting by ARKOS light and plaster cylinders that establish a dialogue with the historic elements. New approaches using traditional techniques: continuity without pretence.
The opening around the Serge lamp was also clad with plaster flowers, as a tribute to the broken and torn flowers of the original wallpapers that historically covered the walls. This conceptual and material gesture gives the project its name: “Flores Rotas”.
The project includes a living room reorganised around the restored original fireplace, clad in Art Nouveau ceramic tiles, an enlarged dining room and a 40 m² suite with a Sistema Midi walk-in wardrobe, oak-framed openings and an 8 m² bathroom in Arabescato marble.
Flores Rotas Complete Home Renovation in Bilbao is a home where the layout and spatial reading encourage visual and functional continuity.
Bilbao interior design is articulated through a coherent palette: deep blue lacquer and Markina marble. Every decision was based on technical criteria: lighting efficiency, rationalised circulation and careful material selection.
At Tabula Studio, we understand renovations in Bilbao and complete home renovations in Bilbao as processes in which technique, identity and historical context are carefully balanced. “Flores Rotas” demonstrates a sensitive approach to interior design in Bilbao, respectful of what has been inherited and precise in its execution.
This project included the collaboration of Jorge de Arbe Interiorismo for the styling of the photoshoot, along with pieces by Roche Bobois — Ava chairs, Pulp side table and Bubble pouf — which complement the overall composition.
